Planning a new kitchen or bathroom? The electrics are far easier to get right before the units and tiles go in. AJS works out with you where the sockets, appliance supplies and cooker or hob circuit need to go, along with the lighting, whether that’s downlights, pendants over an island or lights under the wall units. When the work is finished, it’s tested and certified where required.
Kitchen electrical work
Whether you are fitting a new kitchen or making a few changes, the electrics should work around how you actually use the room. AJS can help with:
Extra sockets above the worktop, and sockets for appliances under it.
Cooker, hob and oven circuits.
Lighting, including spotlights, pendants and under cabinet lights.
Moving or adding points when a kitchen is being changed.
Planning the electrical work early also makes it easier to get everything in the right place before the kitchen is finished.
Bathroom electrical work
Electrical work in a bathroom needs extra care because water is involved. AJS can help with bathroom lighting, extractor fans, illuminated mirrors, wiring and electrical alterations, with everything planned for the room and tested when the work is finished.
How the work usually goes
You get in touch and tell us what you’re changing in the room.
We talk through the electrical side with you: sockets, appliances, the cooker or hob, and the lighting. In a bathroom, that includes the extractor fan, lights and any illuminated mirror.
The positions are agreed before anything is fixed in place.
You get a quote for the electrical work.
Where possible, the wiring goes in before the units, tiling and final finishes, so finished work isn’t disturbed later. The fittings go on once the room is ready.
The work is tested and certified where required.
If the new circuits need space your fuse board doesn’t have, we’ll tell you plainly whether a consumer unit upgrade is needed. Kitchen and bathroom electrical work is available across Nutfield, Redhill, Reigate, Tadworth and nearby parts of Surrey.
